The Midnight Archive began at a kitchen table in 2024, when a half-finished puzzle made its way into a dinner party and didn't leave for four hours. We realised that the best evenings have nothing to do with screens — they're built from paper, candlelight, and the quiet pleasure of figuring something out together.
Today we design mysteries the way old publishers built books: slowly, by hand, with an obsession for detail. Every case file is researched, illustrated, playtested with real groups, and packaged so it feels like a small piece of theatre arriving in your inbox.
We're a small team of writers, illustrators, and former escape-room designers. We don't believe in subscriptions, microtransactions, or sequels for the sake of it — only in making each new mystery worth the hour you'll spend with the people you love most.
